| COD BLOPS II Question (Posted on 12/12/12 at 7:55 am)
Is there any reason to prestige? I know in the last one you were able to get more classes and if you did it enough you could get the gold gun. Was wondering if prestiging in this one would allow you to have more perks for your guns and what not

extra class is really the only reason. I would suggest at least doing it once just for the extra class.

Hell I only use one gun in this game. ONE. No need for the extra class

There is no reason not to prestige IMO. Who doesn't want to continue to rank up and what not? Makes it funner. Especially since you keep your stuff and get a permanent unlock so you have your favorite gun with all it's attachments from the get go.

Gets boring after a while Prestige keeps it challenging a little IMO

The only reason I ever prestiged. Would max and out and think "what now". I almost always regretted it right after, especially those first couple of ranks.

Only if you want extra player cards, custom classes, and a super neat rank emblem. The weapon/attachment/scorestreak challenges don't reset, so you can knock those out without prestiging.

The permanent unlocks make it even easier if you rely on a particular gun I was surprised to find that I still had attachments after prestigious That was nice of them

Permanent unlock everytime as well. Plus, like was said it would get pretty boring to me not to do it. Once you get 54-55 range play your challenges right and the first levels are no issue. From 2nd to 3rd prestige I saved a few challenges and went from level 1-9 in one match

This is the main reason i asked. Hated in the last game when i would prestige and have to use that 3 round burst gun

Well all the guns are locked until you get to whatever rank unlocks them. You cant use the classes until rank 10 I believe so there is a small window where you are stuck running around with shite weapons.

I didn't prestige on Blops 1, and thought about not doing it on 2. When the game is 6 months old your non prestige emblem is rare as shit, screw the prestige emblems.

Cocomo and Team Red have never prestiged that I can recall. I would love a few weapon classes but it's such a damn grind for me to get to 55.
