I'm posting this topic at the sake of sounding too invested in the star system, which everyone hates. *HESTER derp!!*
We have nearly the same average (3.73) as the two teams having the best seasons and playing for the National championship. Trailing noticeably only to USC's ridiculous 4.3 average.
Thought it was worth consideration. I think the average ranking does well to remove the issues of comparing different sized classes.
I'm sure Bama and ND are in position to close with many remaining top targets, but at this point we are keeping up with the elite which is what matters, IMO.

The majority of fans don't think LSU is slipping behind bama and others. Our group of players are as talented a group as any. Louisiana is sold short on proper evaluation by national recruiters so that makes our class even better.
