Has anyone dated their old shotgun?

I read that the left rear of the barrel can date the year of the shotgun. That is if the barrel is original to the shotgun. Mine has WW8 on it. Not sure how to read what this means.
Also, the receiver has a Serial # of S62....V
I left out a few there. Any idea how to determine this, or do I need to call Remington?

I forgot the pattern, Remington has a strange way of dating them. It can be found online though, I would try to find it but I'm on my phone.

WW would seem like it (WW =1950) but the gun does not have the 50s style to it. Could be mis matched gun/barrel

Or WW8
First W = month of 8
Second W = year of 1972
the 8 not sure of

Sending Remington an email

Rem emailed me back. 1972 is when it was made.

Paid a $100 bucks for it and wouldn't get rid of for nothing.
