3d is overrated, it was cool first day or two.

But you don't have to use the 3d for everything, right?

I have the 55LM7600 and love it. The picture is on par with my samsung but the menu is much more snappy and the lg passive 3d is much better for me than samsungs active 3d. Love the 3d for movies but that's about all I used it for. The edge to edge glass looks pretty sharp too.

Dumb question. Can you watch anything in 3d by just putting the glasses on? Or are there certain channels/movies that it works on?

I have the 46 inch model. Overall It's not quite as good as my Sony. I actually prefer the passive 3d to Sonys.

The LG is certainly a better value.

Awesome. We have been looking to move our 42 Panasonic to the bed room and update the living room tv. I think I'm gonna get it.

It has to be filmed in 3d to be true 3d. (3d channels through your tv provider or 3d movies) there is a feature where the tv will attempt to make 2d look 3d but its a far cry from the real thing. 3d content thru directv is limited (espn3d mostly shows little league World Series and xgames) but movies like avengers and transformers really look great.

Sorry should've answered better, had my daughter jumping on me.

The TV itself is excellent, but you are paying more bc its 3D.

I barely ever use 3D, my kids are even sick of it.

You can get a "smart" TV that is not 3d for a better price.

Sorry for shitty typing on phone.

I have the 47. Because of the ease of glasses we put the LG in the family room. But honestly we don't use the 3d much. I'm probably the only one that gets excited to see 3d at home. The kids couldn't care less.

The National Championshp was broadcast in 3d last year. I enjoyed about 7 minutes of the game in 3d before breaking a pair if glasses by slamming them into the wall.

Listen to this. I didn't pay any attention to anyone when they said 3D was a gimmick and I bought one. I haven't used it since the first week.

Another note, I never have any problem with passive 3D causing headaches but my active glasses did make me feel weird after wearing them a little while.

I have the 7600 which I think is one up from this. I love it and would recommend to anyone. At first there were a few issue like ghosting from the LEDs. You can look up what that means. They then did some updates and I have no issues at all now.

I really like the 3d and am glad I have it. I wouldn't pay a lot extra a few years ago to get but now you might as well because there is not much cost difference. Some lgs may be crap but this line is not.

To answer a couple 3d questions. I like the passive 3d over the active option because my eyes don't get tired while watching a movie. The tv does take normal 2d and convert it to 3d but it is not worth much. The 3d is good and I like it a lot of movies. I use my ps3 for 3d signals. I bought avengers and it looks good on the tv and my wife and kids like it a lot. I have also started renting from a 3d rental website that makes it affordable. Some movies would not look great in 3d but I like action movies in 3d. I have online rented Prometheus and documentarys and have liked them all.

I would recommend the tv.

No only movies made for 3d played through a 3d player will be 3d.
