Being new here, I've seen the occasional book recommendation threads pop up on OT, but I'm just curious if the majority of M/TV board posters are avid readers as well. As someone who is more than just the casual movie/tv viewer, I'm a big time reader as well, and the two just seem to go hand in hand. Is that the case in general here? Also, for those that are avid readers, do you prefer Kindle or print? I love real books and like to hoard them when I'm done. Probably got about 300 books in my current "library," and probably buy about a book per week off Amazon.

I haven't tried the kindle thing yet. I'm a cheap bastard, so I take the kids to the libraries once a week.

I read my first book on my iPad the other day. Wasn't as bad as I though it would be.

you really should try the kindle. maybe its just me but staring at a computer screen for extended period of time gives me a headache. the kindle screen is like looking at a book

Also, please pardon my abundance of posts if they seem excessive. I'm like a kid with a shiny new toy right now, and I'm still getting a feel for this place. Likewise, in reference to my original OT introduction post, I'd like to change my epitaph to, "He came for the Rant, joined for the OT, but stayed for the M/TV."

There are a pretty good amount of readers on this board, and as there is no book board most of the book related topics wind up here anyway.

As for myself, I prefer print to kindle type fare.

I prefer print. I have a kindle too though. I like the feel and smell of paper. Maybe I'm just weird.

Love reading, can't wait to finish up this last final to get back to my reading list. I'm almost finished A Feast for Crows.

It's takes a little while to get used to the Kindle, but I now prefer the convenience of it over paper. Having a library available in my bag swayed me over.

I prefer actual books. I don't like reading long texts on any electronic device, including a Kindle.

I prefer print. You can share print. Can't share an E-reader.
