Well, that's what you get. Yes, yes, I know the LA constitution is to blame for a lot of it, but cuts could've been made to higher education institutions. We have WAY too many public 4-yr colleges that are terrible.
Sadly, people in this state are stupid. You reap what you sow.

No, but I expected your article to actually say some med students planned to leave Louisiana. It didn't do that. It said they are "concerned" but nothing about anyone leaving.

Louisiana Medicaid/Medicare reimbursements are horrible and Per capita Louisiana has one of the highest entitlement medical coverage rates in the country.

Its one of the major reasons why many of my class and this years graduating class are choosing to go out of state.

Former LSU health care administrator Dr. Roxane Townsend has landed a top job at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Ark.
“I worry what the future of health care will be in Louisiana. I cannot be effective here,” Townsend said. “I’m not sure what they are doing is going to be best for the state.”

Dr. Steve Nelson, Dean of LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans is waiting for the offer from Kansas University Medical Center to become the head over there.
Dr. Steve Nelson finalist for KUMC top job
LSU's Medical School is currently looking for 6 senior level faculty to lead six different academic medical divisions right now because those division heads all left the state for other universities.
Other LSU execs who have left recently:
System President John Lombardi
Baton Rouge Chancellor Michael Martin to CSU
College of Science Dean Kevin Carman left for UNR
Business School Dean
Chief Financial Officer Eric Monday to U Kentucky
Vice Provost for Equity Katrice Albert left today for the University of Minnesota.
Vice Provost Jack Hamilton
The College of Sciences for LSU has lost 9 faculty members including its most prized one who just helped LSU land a $20 million dollar research grant.
William Jenkins also said another 10 research faculty left LSU for other universities and taking with them over $16 million in research grants.
All of this is okay though because LSU has only fallen 10 spots to 58th according to the National Science Foundation rankings.

Lombardi was fired, rightfully so. He's had issues everywhere he's been with his Board
Martin and Carman left for promotions
Eli Jones and Monday left for more money.
Katrina Albert is terrible
Hamilton retired.
But, yea It's just easy to blame Jindal.
