No joke.

Hire him, parade him around and say he is reformed. Win games.

BUT, the last 3 jobs he had he has left dumpster fires, so being hesitant is understandable.

Because their program is "above" Petrino.

I agree.

I thought this from the beginning.

It could be he doesn't want the job, I guess. They might not meet his level of professionalism.

He drove himself to Jonesboro today, he is desperate for any job he can get...

If I was the AD of Tenn. and I had to choose between Bobby Patrino and Butch Jones, lets say Patrino would already be busy assembling his staff at Tenn..

Patrino has proved he can recruit and win in the SEC.

I wasn't serious.

But, Tennessee should make the offer.

not only that, shite you can get him to caoch for probably a few private strip shows lol and some bud light for the first 2 years. he will work for peanuts.

my only question,.. but it's a big one.. what type of staff can he put together. his brother got a head coaching gig, he's fricked the rest of the coaches over.

Why it is so much shorter and quicker to type than "large trash receptacle that has be set ablaze".

Best hire you could make at TN. Butch Davis would be the next.

I tend to think and just a pure guess on my part but IMO anc certainly just an opinion but I believe that the SEC presidents had one of those back room conversations where Petrino has been black balled from the SEC for a while. Dont know how long but for a couple of years anyway.

You want to hire Petrino? Be our guests, and enjoy getting buried so bad on the recruiting trail the lack of talent, depth, and defense won't get you to BCS games.

BP at Tenner would get smoked by James Franklin, Saban, Spurrier, Malzahn, Boom, PAWPOW, Sumlin Miles, Pinkel, Richt, Freezus, and likely Mullen and Stoops too.

So bringing in BP you'll get a coach no-one respects as a man, the media hate and can't wait to crucifix even further, and he'd very likely be the worst recruiter in the league.....

Why yes UT, please hire BP. What could go wrong?

Would be a great hire but he is toxic when it comes to the PR nightmare the hire would cause.

Auburn didn't hire him, UT won't hire him. He's a great coach, I really think something else went on at Arkansas.
