They'll never come out with a third one. With the Revan novel finishing the Exile's and Revan's stories and the SWTOR MMO, we'll never see it.

Revan is my favorite SW character and the story of KOTOR, if done properly, would abuse the original SW films.

I made myself read that stupid *** book just to put the story to rest. Hated it. Pissed me off to end such a fantastic storyline with such a crappy ending.

I was primarily evil and was a Sentinel (?) or whatever the force power one was, I used force lightning so much.

I tried to be evil but I couldn't commit to it. If your a force user you become such a badass by the end of the game.

It's not the best ever, but it's one of my favorites. I've played through both of them at least 3 times each on my X-Box. Knights of the Old Republic will always hold a special place in my heart.

Yeah.
I had both on PC for a long time, then I misplaced my KoToR1 and by the time I had the brains to try to get another, they were tons of money. I still have my 2, and after jumping through hoops to install it on W7, I've enjoyed the hell out of it.
They just re-released them both w/ W7 compatibility though, available on Steam & in stores. I still had some issues with installation on W7 on my laptop & desktop, but I made it work. Love them!
I play a little SWTOR, too, when I have time. I encourage any KoToR fans to try it out (it's free now).

Have you tried out KoToR2 with the mod that adds in some stuff that was not released with the game?

I'd like to play this one again, but according to Steam you need to have XP or Vista. What OS are you using?

I did the user workaround when I played KoToR2 on Windows 7, but apparently they have a compatible version out now.

Yeah, on Steam it says only KoToR2 is compatible with W7, and that 1 isn't. But, on the disk version of the re-release, it says that both are W7 compatible.
You can still install it and run it on W7 but it takes some maneuvering- you just have to give the .exe permanent administrator privileges and run it using an XP Service Compatibility Pack.
There's a ton of stuff about it on the Bioware forums if you're interested.

I enjoy SWTOR, on there every day, but it will never be as good as KOTOR.
