You're still in school right? If so, you get 6 months free and then it's only $40/year as long as you're a student.

I find myself purposely checking amazon when I'm shopping just because of the free shipping. Prices are usually better and no tax.

Not as good as it once was. Seems like the prime items come at a premium anymore, but worth it just for gift shopping and maybe for buying certain groceries in bulk.

You can buy almoat anything on Amazon and with Prime, you don't pay shipping and you get it in two days.
I would've spent $225 over a year in shipping last time I re-upped, and would've gotten items 2-3 days later. Bascially, I saved over $150 and tons of time waiting for purchases.

Yes. In addition to all the perks of regular Prime, you'll get discounts on textbooks and other school related items.
The free 2-day shipping alone made it worth it for me, but I buy like 85% of my purchases via Amazon.

It's definitely worth it, but its not as good as it used to be.2 day shipping used to be true 2 day shipping. Order on Thurs.Receive on Sat. Now they want extra for weekend delivery or don't even offer it. Now its order on Thurs, receive on Monday or Tuesday.
