Look up the Wisconsin-Oregon State film fiasco from earlier this year. I loved that the Beavers rolled them. Bielema is the second biggest douche in football behind Lane Kiffin.

He has a reputation for being a jerk. (Running up scores in the 4th quarter...whining about recruiting unfairness{{God help him...})

Been to the Rose Bowl twice, and lost to TCU and Oregon. (I would add that these were lean years for the Big X.)

Going to the Rose Bowl this year by default with the worst record of any BCS team...(8-5).

Doesn't want to the Big X to be like SEC...so he goes to the SEC?

I'll reserve judgement for after he has a record in the SEC. But my first impression is ...

yea i have a feeling arky will struggle under him early because his style is so different than arkys current style.

Petrino had no trouble replacing Nutt's running game with his own passing attack.

During a time period in which one of UM/tOSU (or both) were down each year. The Big10 isn't a powerhouse right now.

I think this is an important point. Even with this advantage, he never really sniffed a national championship.

His best year was arguably his first when Ohio State and Michigan were actually #1 and #2 respectively. Still, Wisconsin had a joke non-conference schedule, lost by 2 TDs to Michigan and didn't have to play Ohio State that season.

Since then, he's done well in a weak conference, but still loses over 3 games a year on avg.

This is a run oriented coach. He won't make it without someone like russel Wilson. He will not make it.

I worded it incorrectly. Given SEC resources. Aren't they currently upgrading facilities at Arkansas? Just because they don't have exactly what LSU and Bama has doesn't mean they can't become successful.

lets see what happens when he's up against Miles on the recruiting trail. he's going to get crushed.

Montee Ball is Bielema as Brett Favre was to Hallman

I have no idea how it will play out, but I am confident of one thing:

Bielema >> John L. Smith

Not impressed. The guy had a great season last year for one reason, Russell Wilson.

He can't recruit, he struggled to get to 8 wins in freaking Big 10. The only reason Wisconsin is going to the Rose Bowl is because there's no one else in the Big 10 to send. tOSU, Penn State? Nope. Nebraska? Even though they beat them, Wisconsin beat Nebraska in the championship game.

I'm not really concerned. It's a ok hire but not one I'm really concerned with. Petrino is a better coach IMO.

He's not a bad coach but not an elite one either. He doesn't bring any great scheme advantage and his style of play doesn't fit with the personnel currently residing in Fayetteville. Which makes the hire even stranger because he isnt known as a good recruiter and isn't known as a very likeable guy. Who knows, he may just be what Arkansas needs but I see him gone in 3-4 years

Les or the other guy?

This could turn into a game with single digit passes been thrown. By both teams combined.

One thing is certain Bielema is one big douche. I have a feeling that Bielema will start trolling Les. I don't think those guys will exactly be pen pals

If he got pissed about recruiting in the big ten, I sure hope he has plenty of Xanax for what he has store in the SEC

I think it was a good hire for Arkansas.....they are losing Wilson, Hamilton, Davis, and the other RB I think, so they will be rebuilding. Good time for a guy with a different philosophy (same philosophy as Miles, Saban, and Muschamp) to come in and start fresh.
