Former Troy now Texas Tech OC Neal Brown to Kentucky:

Solid hire if true IMO

Per Landon Wright, Texas Tech analyst for 247sports.com

"A trusted source has informed me Neal Brown to UK is a done deal, but will not be announced until Wed."

It's been rumored for a bit. He was to interview today with Chad Scott (interviewing as RB coach) per several sources.

Color me pretty damn excited right now if this happens. I've given Barnhart a fair amount of shite but Stoops and Co. has some promise.

I guess he is tired of being slapped around by Tubs...

I would be happy with this if I was a Kentucky fan.

Stoops is putting together a pretty solid staff. The East will be very interesting in the future

he is interviewing. Hasn't been hired as of yet. Very exciting hire if true and gives Brown the chance to coach his home state.

Chad Scott was not interviewed, despite rumors.
