I'm starting to wonder if anything gets this guy riled up. I'm sure in two weeks or so since Atlanta is closer to me than BR,I'll try to find tickets.
But right now I'm annoyed that once again the SEC led by that puny little Mike Slive told LSU to drop dead again.The Chick-Fil-A Bowl isn't a "bad bowl" but the lame arse excuses about the Cotton and Texas not wanting A&M (so the Big 12 commissioner listens to one of their teams?  ) but then Oklahoma and A&M is fine. I'm sure no one would want to see LSU-Oklahoma. Can't have a South Carolina-Clemson rematch in the Chick-Fil-A bowl, so we want South Carolina happy. LSU, you be the 6th team.
Don't forget how Slive royally stuck his middle finger up at LSU in March 2009,too. LSU wins the SEC title and gets an 8 seed.Guess who was on the selection committee ? Mike Slive. Yea, a committee member can't be in the room when a member school is discussed-blah,blah,blah. But,remember this learned,brilliant, smartest man in college athletics just exuded gravitas.Evidently he didn't do squat for LSU.8th seed in the East in GREENSBORO,NC pared with North Carolina.
Of course later that fall, the SEC falls all over themselves with apology letters to Arkansas after the Florida game and Georgia after the LSU game. Peterson's "interception" vs Alabama ? Uh,no. Screw you ,LSU.
I just wish ol' Joe would come out and say something about the SEC not doing anything in LSU's favor. It was Martin who said something about Florida last Spring,not Alleva.

It amuses me that you think Joe Aleeva has any pull with Slive/SEC office.
He's lucky if they return his calls.
And I'm NOT attacking Joe, I'm commenting on the fixed game that is the SEC.

LSU fans might garner some respect for Alleva if he spoke out publicly about the way the SEC treats LSU. But, he doesn't stick up for his school and we knew he was like that based on his actions at Duke. I mean, really - how much worse can it get? They've already done more harm to LSU than any of the other schools. I say quit laying down and making it easy for them to screw us!

When you are in arguably the weakest conference in the Big 6 in all of college basketball, don't drop 3 of your last 4 games before the tournament.
Still don't know why people can't figure this out.

Do any of y'all realize that there are things that go on without being all over the media? Alleva would only paint a target on our back by the SEC if he went off at the mouth publicly about it.
You need help if you don't think he isn't complaining to the SEC directly about the unfair schedules.
His public statements are him being professional which is his job.

I have absolutely no doubt that this is true. However, the solution is not in going along with it in hopes that if you're all collegial at the league cocktail parties, things might change. The solution is to blow the whistle, in public, at every opportunity.
We're irrelevant to them. We know that already. Then make them hate us. Hate at least implies a modicum of grudging respect. I'd rather be hated than ignored.

It seems like the 'smart' thing for joe to do is (probably hasnt) let the fans know that the issue at least has been addressed.
