| SEC rotation going forward is worse than looking backwards; much worse (Posted on 12/3/12 at 4:09 pm)
with the addition of 2 teams we obviously only play 2 from the other division. LSU and any other team that has a top 6 permanent is going to get screwed a lot. the rotating foe just doesn't appear very often on one's schedule. bama has skated the last two years and they are going to skate a hell of a lot more in the future while LSU (and florida and maybe another) will always have one and almost half the years have 2 top teams to face. there is a post now that identifies the man that put this schedule together as a bama graduate and strong bama fan. all other things equal, LSU and Florida have a much tougher road to get to atlanta and therefore the nc. this cannot be allowed to be a permanent future fixture. this is the sec blatantly favoring one team over others. we need to get rid of the permanent opponent and rotate them all if we are going to stick with 8 conference games. it is the only fair way to schedule this league.

I'm sure the SEC will set the schedule so that Bama doesn't have to face East powerhouses except once every several decades. But no matter what that Bama/Tennessee rivalry MUST be protected.

I agree with the elimination of the permanent cross over rival. Because as it is now you guys won't play in Knoxville again until 2023. 12 years gaps. The only reason they do this is to keep Bammie happy by playing Tennessee

It won't matter much, conference will be 16 in the not too distant future At that point its either go to a 9 game schedule or keep 8 with one rotating game Once 16 happens, it will have to go to a 9 game schedule and at that point you will have to get rid of permanents otherwise you will never play the other teams

I think the conferences will all go to pod systems once it gets to 16. That way you play the 3 teams in your pod, 1 permanent out of pod rival, and the other four teams you pod is matched up with for the year making the division champion.

The sec just needs to say fuk it and play every team in the league. Whoever is left with a 0 in the L column wins

this would improve the hell out of college football right here. we play 13 games, facing every sec member during the regualar season. that would be real man football. they can then just eliminate the nc game bs and award the sec the real man football nc every yr. the seccg would be the nc.

I could live with that, but Bama couldn't. And Bama runs the SEC office.

Need to get rid of the perm, and go to 9 conference games, which will probably never happen. A 14 team league, it's hard to be "fair" without expanding the conference schedule.

Injuries would increase by 100% no doubt about it. Would be very stressful on everyone's health too. I can barely take these seasons as is.
