Caught the tail end of something on the tube today where they were taling about Tim williams and that Notre Dame would keep him at outside linebcker. Did'nt hear The front end of the conversation but with what I heard, it sounded lake ND was making a push for him. Anyone else hear that. I think it was Tom Lemmings talking.

I woulnd't trust anything he says. Especially as it pertains to Notre Dame.

You may want to make your thread title a little more descriptive as well.

LSU has basically completely stopped recruiting him. Moved on.

All the premium sites dont even mention him anymore. Of course the coaches will be around him a bit since he's at UHigh and we're recruiting U-High players as well as Miles and Kragthorpe having sons on the team...but things happened and ties have been relatively cut unless stuff gets cleaned up a bit.

Regardless of what the paysites are saying, and I subscribe to a couple so I've read them, LSU is still actively recruiting Williams.

Whether he comes to LSU or not, who really knows, but they haven't stopped pursuing him.

Last recruitment that went like this was Lorenzo Phillips and he signed with LSU.

There have been reports from 247 that their contacts on staff have told them that they are done with Williams based on his lack of interest with the program and questionable behavior of the field.

LSU has moved on from him several weeks ago. Im not saying that it couldnt happen to where he would be a part of the class but the word is that there is very little to presume he will end up @ LSU.

From other sources Ive heard he might not even qualify out of HS and may have to JC a year. DOnt know if its true but just a rumor and I know LSU just cut ties with two commits because they couldnt take the risk.

I expect Beckwith, Bain, and a DB to finish the class.

I wouldn't say "Actively", maybe passively as they hear and see him many times being so close. Right now, they aren't seeing him as part of the class. Things can always change though.

I'm with Project here. There are different points of view/opinions of sources on this one, and any could be correct.

ETA: except Gino Jewbear.

This is accurate. Sonny on 247 said that we are still recruiting Williams and that "there isn't any information of Press-ing matter at the moment"

If the kid is having trouble getting into Miami and LSU there is no way that he can qualify for ND. And I wouldn't listen to talking heads on TV... especially those who are from the particular school in question.

LSU has backed off recruiting him. He has had off the field issues and on the field getting into shouting matches with coaches. He's been in love with the girls of Miami in bikinis despite have a son here in Baton Rouge.

I thought LSU really backed off on Williams?

I know there was a story saying his scholarship got pulled, but that was wrong, but I thought it was 'confirmed' that the LSU staff backed off and went after LaCouture harder.
