because the one guy brought a knife to gun fight (typical wop), but that guy's friend brought a really bug gun to a gun fight and that scottish guy sure didnt know about it

Loved Connery in it and Garcia is O.K. Hated Costner in the lead.
Hated the way they portrayed the villains. Thought De Niro's Capone was way over the top. Billy Drago's Nitti was comic book evil.
I grew up watching the TV series. The villains were just cold, heartless bastards that did what they had to do to keep making money. They didn't enjoy killing innocents.
Robert Stack's Eliot Ness was a tough guy that knew he had to be ruthless to catch the ruthless bad guys he was after. He called a dame "A dame" and probably would have beaten the crap out of one of Capone's to find out where he was.
