| U.S. Corporate Profits (Posted on 12/3/12 at 11:58 am)
Well fellas, AFTER TAXES, U.S. corporate profit have reached the greatest percentage of GDP in history. Wages for workers have hit the lowest, as a percentage of GDP, in U.S. history. However, Romney was right!! Those poor corporations need some more tax cuts so they can horde more cash, pay more dividends to shareholders and pay lesss in wages!! Romney is such a smart business man and the GOP such a responsible party, up is really down and left is really right in their bizzaro world I guess. Time to cuts some corporate taxes. See what type of record they can really set for after tax profits next year. LINK

Because we've regulated business in a way that forces them to find either lower wage or eliminate positions. Why do libs not understand this? Yes we can switch to communism to fix govt problems. Or we can get out govt out of the way. America seems to be choosing the first option, but it's going to be slow and painful and not freedom.

Has it occurred to you that profits might be up because business has been moved overseas to avoid the highest corporate taxes in the world?

You do realize corporations don't pay taxes. They are passed on to the customer. And the corporation is made up of people who share in that wealth. Liberals piss me off.

The reason is the corporations are scared to spend any of their money, and are holding onto them. Also, is a corporation a person. Is there a such thing as a rich corporation, poor corporation, or middle class corporation? Why even tax corporations? why not tax the money as it comes out of the corporation to individuals? Aren't the majority of EVERYONE's retirement plans invested directly/indirectly in these corporations?

why tax corporations? because all consumers will be "taxed" rather than just the top half earners. that's good, no? eliminate corporate taxes and the upper income earners will have to pick up the slack in income taxes, cap gains, etc.

I think corps need a 100% tax cut personally. My goal is to bankrupt the federal government as quickly as possible so that we have rampant hyperinflation and a lower standard of living. I believe the fastest way to do this is to end corporate taxes and reduce individual taxes by 50%.

Great post! Brilliant! US Corporate Tax is the highest in the world, but let's raise it further. By all means lets run more domestic business to offshore taxshelters so we can import their cheaper goods produced in a low overhead environment by foreign workers. Tiger n Miami AU83, your understanding of the economy is impeccable.

This maybe the stupidest thing i have ever heard. If thats the case then no one pays taxes. Before I take a job, I factor in my taxes into the potential salary. Yea they factor the fact that they have to pay taxes into pricing that doesn't mean they don't pay taxes. I guess they don't pay interest on any of their debt either. I mean its just factored into the prices.

Is rocket like the most brilliant motherfricker here? Because if not, he is certainly "dumber" than myself.

Haha, you do realize a corporation is a legal person. That's right, a corporation is one person. I'm sure you have no idea why this is significant.
