i have nothing at all against the chic-fil-a bowl. it's the cotton and cap 1. and the bcs tie-ins that allow a northern illinois and a louiville to go to a major bowl. i don't have to watch; i don't have to purchase their sponsors products and i won't.

Well said, LSURep864. If fans can make the trip, they should do it to support these players who have "fought like hell" (as Coach Miles would say) all season long.

players know that we have a perfect record in this bowl game. they don't want to ruin that. there's a lot on the line.

Atlanta isn't really my cup of tea, but for an 18 to 21 yr old (football player, or student fan attending the game)seems like a pretty good New Year's Eve destination. LSU though is somewhat getting hosed and if Alleva has any balls he'll get something in return for this by being loyal and not bitching publicly. Maybe the Tigers can get immunity from offensive holding penalities, too.

Sorry dude. I was pumped for at least a "name" team (Texas) in what has become a pretty good bowl (Cotton). I completely lost interest when I learned Chick fila and Clemson. Not much upside here. By the way, I'm a fan, not a player. I don't have to get pumped and I'm not. Sorry.
