Anybody own one or used one? What is your opinion? I am Considering a family pleasure craft heading into next summer. Boats like chaparral and sea ray are nice but have I/o's. As a kid growing up with am I/o my dad always had problems with them. Can you casual fish with a sport boat? Not looking to take it on a weekend fishing trip but wanted to have the option.

Only know what I've heard about them and that's that they are gasaholics that will choke on trash and leave you stranded fairly regularly in LA kinda waters.

I think a sport boat is absolutely useless but others disagree. just my opinion.

Anything you can do in a sport, you can do in a bay boat. You can not doing the same things a bay boat can with a sport.

Thanks. My concern is mud, etc getting sucked into the engine and screwing up the impeller.

One of my boats is a Yamaha. If you will be going through water with mud or grass and seaweed, get a prop. For lakes and bays, they are great. But I am referring to the newer 21 and 24ers.
