It does nothing but hurt LSU for Bama to win NC after NC. There is nothing good to be gained from Bama winning NCs. Go Irish!

Sure it helps.
The national perception of the SEC is the only reason why we got a title in 2007.
Sure, ideally it would have been UGA to win and beat ND, but Bama losing to ND will end up hurting LSU more than what a Bama win would.
The "damage" is already done, their winning or losing wouldn't really change that fact. Saying that you played for 3 of the last 4 titles isn't really that different of a recruiting pitch than saying you won 3 of the last 4.
