Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. But keep telling yourselves that, simpletons.

Les Miles' recruiting at OSU for 2002, 2003, 2004 averaged: 2.82, 2.81, and 2.68 stars.

Houston Nutt's recruiting at Arkansas for 2002, 2003, and 2004 averaged: 3.04, 2.8, and 2.72 stars.

What an AMAZING recruiter!

But the majority of his success recruiting originates in Louisiana

does it?

12 of our of our 23 commits are from out of state

look I feel ya but you are talking about 8 years ago with the OSU stuff- you think any recruit remembers that? No one overly cares that he took over a shite job, beat a top 5 ranked Okla twice and turned the program around in a year

it's about what he's done in the last 8. and that's nothing but win for the most part.

since the Hogs feel Les isn't the "right" fit.....who exactly is?

We're talking DEMOGRAPHICS. Unwavering demographics. LA has demographics which, unfortunately, produces a lot of violent crime and stud football players.

He was a mediocre coach at OSU. His recruiting at OSU was poor (below Houston Nutt during the same time frame).

That's the comparison. Arkansas, as a state, versus Louisiana, as a state. The number of athletes at his disposal.

he played the hand he was dealt and did pretty damn good all things considered.

Miles had to compete againse OU....one of the top programs in the country at the time.

Miles is one of the best recruiters in the country. thats not just me being a homer...thats a fact.

and he would've had an SEC title at Arkansas within 5 years. next time bring more money

Only thing worse than hiring Les Miles must be knowing that he played you to get more $ and job security so he can beat your asses for untold years to come.

"Pretty damn good all things considered" - would that be good enough for LSU? Why would it be good enough for Arkansas? His performance at OSU was eerily similar to Houston Nutt at Arkansas in terms of results and recruits.

But I thought...

So which is it? Either he's one of the best recruiters in the country, meaning OU's proximity wouldn't make a difference, or he's opportunistic.

Why do Arky fans continue to think they are some brilliant schemers in this whole equation?

YOUR BEST TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF YOUR SCHOOL LOST TO LES MILES AND LSU 41-17...........

Yet, you dumb asses sit here and laugh like yall have robbed the bank.

All you have done is solidified Les in recruiting for another 4 years and entrenched YOUR biggest rival in the top 5 for another 4 years.......

Great plan.

Lets not forget to mention that your school has had almost 7 months to solidify a legitimate coach for your beloved university and it's master plan to this point was to get the biggest rival to you a contract extension...........

fricking Mini-Walmarts on campus aside, yall are really screwing the pooch on this one.

7 months and you will likely end up with a nobody.

You do realize we win our Bowl game and 5 is likely to happen again.........

This will make like 5 times Les Miles has ended the season ranked in the top 5............

I'll pump my chest anytime we WIN........because essentially that is what its all about.

Man yall are some delusional mofo's.

Man Arkansas fans are pretty down on their program. OSU had one winning conference record since 1988 and then Miles turned that around in year 2.

You guys don't suck that bad you really don't.

Then these guys come here denying that Long actually offered Miles when Miles said himself in his press conference yesterday he talked to him.......EVEN MENTIONED SOME GUYS FOR THEM TO GO AFTER.

Les Miles is trying to help them, will they listen?

Now they are jabbering about Miles's coaching days @ OSU like it matters to us.........

Facts are that Miles has won more SEC titles in 8 years at LSU than Arkansas has in their history of football.

Anything that keeps LSU from acquiring a better coach sounds like a GREAT plan.

You couldn't sustain a winning record against in the 90s, when we were at our worst.
