That excuse is one of the funniest I have heard from Arky fans. Apparently LSU will now quash all future football program expenditures because of this contract negotiation. It's all such a perfect plan! The final nail in the coffin will be to force LSU to change cafeteria service providers and increase that line item in the budget by 4%. We're now surely headed toward bankruptcy.

Well, after John L., they have no where to go but up . . . or sideways, which is what the Arky football program is most used to.

Sadly I have to agree with the Johnelle comment. Embarassing doesn't even begin to cover it. And yet Les nearly lost to him. that would get anyone excited about hiring him.

Ok question LSU guys?
IF Arkansas and JLS had beaten LSU... just exactly what level of meltdown would you be at right now?
I know it did not happen but what if? would you be ready to fire Les for losing to the biggest Idiot in college football?

And what if LSU's defense holds on for 1:40 against Bama? And what if OBJ doesn't fumble the ball @ UF? What if Petrino didn't think with his dick? What if aliens DO exist?

eta: As for a legit answer, of course idiot. It's a stupid question.

not a deflection; your state sucks talent wise by your own words. I'm agreeing with you

Actually, no. You're not. You're just too fricking retarded to realize it.

Some of you dumb frick LSU fans are butthurt that we aren't enamored with your 1 trick pony. I just explained why. You just agreed with me. LSU has vastly superior instate talent to Arkansas. That comes as NO SHOCK to anyone. NONE. Keep throwing out what you might consider to be clever insults, but you're not saying anything new.

The POINT is that in a state with only a fraction of Louisiana's talent, that's similar to Oklahoma, Les Miles would go back to SUCKING frickING DONKEY BALLS. His last year in Stillwater he was 7-5. That was his work. That's what HE built.

quote:

You haven't won an SEC title because of that, you need a pink unicorn coach that is a great at everything to make you relevant and i think the odds of you getting that coach to come to Arkansas are slim.

gotta be rough knowing you literally have no shot at winning anything ever.

We haven't won an SEC title, so we should hire a coach that would make it even HARDER to win the SEC title. BRILLIANT! But yes, now you're catching on. We, like just about every other school in the country (there are 120'ish of us) don't have the advantages of LSU, Texas, Florida, etc. We can't just roll out of bed and sign 5 star players without trying. So - knowing that - we have to have innovative coaches. We can't afford to hire a coach that can't develop a QB. That ALONE is reason enough to not want Les Miles.

quote:

Okie State BTW was pretty terrible before Miles got the job and he built them into relevancy before taking the LSU job.

Oh - I'm sorry, this seems to be the disconnect. We're aiming for a little bit more than just RELEVANCY. We're not the pre-Miles Cowboys. We're already relevant. They were truly horrible and he brought them up to Houston Nutt standards. Thankfully for Cowboy fans, a better coach (Gundy) has gotten them even higher.

You can debate whether or not we'll get there (gee - I wonder what a ranTARD will say about that), but we want more than 7-5 coach after 5 years. Petrino, that scum, managed to get us 10 and 11 wins. Was it good enough in 2010? No. Was it good enough in 2011? No. BUT IT SURE AS frick IS BETTER THAN 7.

quote:

To compare Okie State then to Arkansas now is a diservice to Arkansas.

It's entirely relevant when it comes to recruiting, which was the entirety of my point, ranTARD. Good lord, I hope you didn't actually graduate from LSU. Embarrassing.

aren't you guys still in melt down for bobby p f'ing you and motorcylce girl? Or is is from going 4-7 and looking for a coach? I think you guys have a lot more to melt over than lsu almost losing.

is that where you are, now? have to relish in an almost win or anothers almost lost? geeze, can't understand ignorance.

Yea, that ghetto right next door to LSU is a real eye catcher.

I was warned that when you actually make sense on this board you will be chastised. Now I see what they were talking about.

So I get it now LSU guys, it makes your vag. hurt that Arkansas got relevant for a couple of years, now we are in the midst of a coaching hire that could crush that forever or bring it right back. My bad, didn't know ya'll were that sensitive.

I kinda like it here, you guys miss a lot with your purple and gold tinted glasses on!!!!

you're pimping a guy who just screwed your program to the point you are 4-7 and looking for a coach who you hope can win.

The fact is, ok st. was left in better shape for gundy to succeed when miles left than when bobby p got fired. Gundy was the o.c. there and it was a smooth transition. (p.s. miles hired gundy) he continued what miles had established and succeeded.

now, lets move on to Arkansas. The program is in disarray. Arkansas has had an embarassing situation with a coach porking a student and giving her a job resulting in multiple lawsuits that will keep this in the public for some time. not to mention millions spent in legal fees, settlements, and awards. They are conducting a coach searc for a 4-7 team who loses 22 seniors, their all s.e.c. qb and it's best wr. It plays in the toughest division in all of college football. It has challenging recruiting base.

do you really think bobby p left the hogs in a better situation? he was a freaking disaster. you can diminish miles all you want. it doesn't change that fact.

keep dreamin' man. i understand your position. i would hate to be in that desparate of straits. at least you have plenty to eat. i'm sure y'all will get somebody to coach up there. it's real pretty with the hills and all.

Clearly. The SEC has been dominated by Arky for the past few years. Delusion, thy name is flagship.

Hey, look, you finally picked up on the argument.

Aww, you lost it. And here we are, back to not having a clue. Not arguing that Petrino left Arkansas in bad shape. LSU fans

That's the funny thing. I'm really not. I'm simply saying he's a great fit for a school that has fertile recruiting grounds. We don't. To LSU fans, that means war I guess.

If LSU is so easy to recruit too, why didn't dinardo, hallman, arnsparger, Stovall and archer have better records?
If its so easy to sign 5 stars, how did saban have 4 losses and never had an undefeated season?
Of course, no one is as perfect as all of your coaches, but 81% win percentage in the toughest division in cfb ain't so damn bad.

Arkansas only wishes they could hire away Miles. Miles is a fvking idiot half the time and still Arkansas would never be able to hire him.

Arkansas football's best season/team in decades, the 2011 team, got beat 41-17 by Miles and LSU.
