This is what I installed on my truck. Only use them when I put my truck camper in the bed. My truck is a 3/4 ton and my camper weights around 2200lbs. My set up cost around $500. That is with the compressor. I installed them and was easy. Bought them at Peboys.

Firestone ride rite air bags. Thank me later.

They are fricking AWESOMMEEEEEEEE

I can make my truck sit like a baja truck with them no matter what I put in the bed. They should be standard equipment on all trucks.

I've had helper springs before and they suck. They do nothing until you get to about half-squat.

Same thing with pretty much every engineer I have met in school. Zero common sense and no practical knowledge. It was all just a bunch of guessing backed up by loads of calculations. Horrible, non-innovative intake design and exhaust tubes with angles greater than a 90 on all 4 cylinders. I am still amazed to this day how people can't just look at something and figure out how it works

They didn't even know what a mandrel bend was. I wanted to rip them open after the presentation but didn't get the chance to ask any questions. It seemed like only one of the teachers knew anything about how a motor works and how the race vehicle should be approached. I was impressed by him, but the rest were more concerned with the calculations

Somewhat. I expected them to have knowledge enough about the subject to ask better questions than the calculations. There were better designs that could've been tried, and just basic things that could have been picked up on as problems by just looking at the pictures. For some reason the group asked alumni(who built the previous version) for advice. The group only had static flow simulations. It was just a little weak in the critique department.

No. They asked questions like....What is your timeline like? Do you know where the problem spots are in production(time-wise)? Did you account for overages in your budget? They were more about trivial things than the actual product

Yes, it was just a Solidworks jpeg with flow at some CFM I can't remember. Needed to animate it very badly. No flow pictures for exhaust manifold, only intake. It was just an all around bad design that should have been noticed months ago. Seemed like they were trying too hard to do something so simple


Like I said earlier...some people just don't get it. It is hard to believe those same people can graduate with a 4.0 throughout college and someone like myself hangs on with a 2.25. Drives me nuts
