So I'm currently in line for the 4 seed. However, due to injuries and division setup it would give me much better matchups in the first two rounds of the playoffs to be the 6 seed and play the current three seed and get the 2 seed in the 2nd round. If I lose I can pretty much assure that I get the 6th seed. Would anybody sit all their good players and throw this week or would that be frowned upon?

Well clearly I can't predict the future, but if I had a chance to play a guy who hasn't scored above 90 in like 4-5 weeks vs. a guy who regularly scores over 100 wouldn't you take those odds?

That's so dumb. Will it effect your opponents seeding or whether or not he gets in the playoffs?

He needs to win and have two other teams lose to get in. So most likely he won't get in but in theory it could help him.

How is it dumb to try and play two significantly weaker teams on the way to the final?

if you have to ask, then you already know what the honest answer is.

but do whatever you feel gives you an advantage down the road....dunnnno.

just because a matchup looks good on paper doesn't mean it will play out like you think.

can't tell you how many times I've seen it happen, you really have to be lucky most of the time.

So, you want to 'sit your starters'?

I'd do it if the situation was favorable.

I get the thinking but how is the third seed that weak? Lucky schedule and a weak division?

You do what gives you the best chance to win in the playoffs. If that means throwing a game, throw a game. Might piss your friends in the league off a little though.

He's had two of his key guys get injured and has had a ridiculously easy schedule. Has by far the lowest amount of points scored against him in the league.

Also, I'm only friends like two of the guys in the league and one of them is the one I could possibly be helping. The rest I either don't know or don't really like so I don't really care what they think.

Screw it, I'm doing it. Obviously it may not work out but I'm going to take my chances against a guy barely averaging 80 vs. a guy averaging almost 100 everytime.

Just curious: Anyone calling it bush, do you also think it's bush when teams do it in real life?
