•Torani, the San Francisco-based maker of flavored syrups, has come out with a Chicken 'n Waffles version. It’s not a joke, but the idea apparently started as one. The flavor was born out of an April fool’s gag media campaign the company planned, but instead of launching it on April 1, it leaked in late March. When fans heard about it, they apparently were upset the flavor wasn’t real. So now it will be. Torani will unveil its Chicken ‘N Waffles syrup on Nov. 26. Here’s how the company describes it: “a delicate balance of three distinct flavor components: yeasty buttermilk waffle, crispy fried chicken and sweet maple syrup. The unusual flavor works in culinary and beverage recipes ranging from flavored butter to vinaigrette to cocktails.”
