Right now there 71 eligible teams and 70 bowl bids. Odd man out is presumably Central Michigan (6-6)
Now if UConn wins, they will be bowl eligible, making that two teams sitting at home.
That most likely means either Western Kentucky or ULM is sitting at home.
WKU got the short end of the stick last year, will they this year?

If UConn wins they can't both go
An 8 win MAC team isn't sitting at home and a 9 win tech team isnt either.
That leaves those two and one spot

Nobody gets "screwed" out of a bowl game.
I wish more teams got screwed. There are way too many shitty teams playing them...if you can't make a bowl, you really really suck.

GT has NOT received a waiver as those do not exist anymore. The NCAA laid out specific guidelines for selection and a 6-7 team that lost in a championship is number 3 on the list. A 6-6 team elsewhere is going to get preference.
Right now, only 70 teams are bowl eligible. GT, Pitt and UConn each need wins.
Central Michigan at 6-6 in the MAC is the first team that would likely get axed.

You only have to be 6-6 to be eligible for a bowl game. Who gives a shite about those teams?

No we don't. We have 9 wins and one of the best offenses in the country not to mention our fan base travels better.
People like offense. Tech vs Baylor in the Independence would be a show

I think ULM has the worst chance of them all to receive an invite unless it is Independence Bowl simply due to the lack of support. I would be surprised if ULM could sell 15,000 tickets to the Independence Bowl, much less 1,500 to the GMAC Bowl in Detroit the Friday after Christmas. Monroeians aren't travelers.
