Anyone think the Sept 14th date with now 11-1 and current 17th ranked Kent State get interesting? Kent State could end up even higher if the win their conference championship game this week.
Just saying this because people blast the SEC for playing OOC cupcakes. Could it end up helping us?

..only if Kent State continues with a similar record in 2013.

the schedule is killer in '13. hopefully we'll catch a bunch of teams in transition. but UF and bama are no joke. UGA too. tamu on the way up.

it's hard not to see this team dropping a couple next year. hopefully we'll have better luck with injuries.

LSU is just not set up to succeed like bama is schedule wise...

Don't forget, the first home game of the season is against UAB. We all remember their last visit to Tiger Stadium...

This. The 2 opponents from the east this year had a combined 3 losses, next year 2. Don't we open with TCU next year as well. Yea 2013 will be tough.

Before this season, we would have INKED in a W for this game. Now ,if Kent State has a similar team, this game just added to our tough schedule. UAB is not what they were in the past. Not worried about them as much as Kent State, at the moment. All can change in a year.

come on people.

Kent St is a nice story this year. But the odds of them have the same record next year is slim to none.

Now the fact that LSU's 2 cross division opponents next year have a 14-2 SEC record this year while Bama's two is 1-15 is a damn good reason.

I bet by 2014 we've added 2 new teams, and they have to rework the schedule again. I'm betting that somehow Bama avoids UGA, UF and USCe while we get two of them.

Kent State is garbage. They are winning, against other absolute garbage.

As in, UK raped them. 47-14 or something. That is bottom of the barrel SEC.

Agree. They lost to UK by 33!
Still it "looks" good to play an OOC team that is/was ranked in the polls. Yes?

Missing my point. YES, an already tough schedule. Kent State being ranked makes it tougher, or at least appear that way. Something to shut up the SEC haters that say we only play OOC cream puffs.

Without looking at their roster, I'm guessing their record this year has a lot to do with being senior laden. They probably won't even be a shadow of the same team next year.
