Arky fumbles inside the 10, misses 2 FG's, doesn't get a fumble inside the 10 because of a no flag no whistle penalty, coach doesn't go for it on 4 and inches at the goal line down by 7, penalty on coaches helps us score, 111 yards in penalties, outgains us all over the field, etc, etc.

Brando doesn't know faceguarding is legal in college, doesn't know the clock stops after an incomplete pass, didn't know we had recovered a fumble until the offense was already on the field, etc.

Update: Some guy called the finebaum show yesterday when Brando was on and started reading this to him. Brando got all defensive and started talking over the guy and calling him names. When the guy said how much Brando screwed up, Brando actually said, "You try doing it."

Brando is clueless during play by play. I would never though I'd want to hear Bolerjack. But Friday I did.

Brando's egoiooc. He reminds me of Mussberger back in the "70's, before he got canned, or Berman now. They seem to think that by virtue of longevity that they've become iconic, and that people are watching the games because of them.

Brando: "Jeremy Hill goes off tackle for a gain of b/w 4 and 6 yards"

That literally came out of his mouth. He would also say shite like "Hill, with a gain of 7 yards" when it was clear as day that he gained at most 4.

That was dumb, and so was not going for it later in the game.

That PI on Minter was such Bull crap. How is a defender not allowed to run straight down the field? Is he just suppossed to get out of the WRs way?

Truth.

Last December I heard Brando tell a story on his radio show about how haughty Joe Paterno had become. It went basically like this: "when I was a young guy coming up in this business I had requested a time to talk to Paterno and he blew me off. After I had reached my current greatness status, he was willing to sit down and talk to me. Joe Paterno was a man of great hubris and self-centered to the core." What a spineless frick. He waits until the biggest scandal in Penn State history to take a shot at Paterno, because he sure as hell wouldn't have said such a thing had there been no molestation scandal--Brando would have taken that thought to the grave, even if it was his greatest conviction. Brando knows his own legacy would be harmed had he made such a comment, pre-Fall of 2011. If he really believed what he said, he's a coward of the worst variety. He embodies the worst there is of the current landscape of sports journalism/media.

I like Timmy B. So he doesn't bother me so much.

This is just the reality of sports jounalism. Saban is a bonafide a-hole douchebag mother fricker lying SOB. But he is a great coach so that is all that matters. No sports journalist will ever sacrifice his access to ask him why he lied his arse off when he was still the head coach at Miami.

What a douche I kind of believe his recollection to be revisionist. In 1983, a friend of mine got me into the NC game, PSU-UGA, as a sideline photographer. Now I was no photographer, obviously not a legit member of the media, and only a couple of years out of LSU, but after the game, on arguably the biggest win in PSU history to date, Paterno gave me 15 minutes of his time, answered every question I had, and was as gracious as he could have possibly been. He certainly wasn't obligated to.

They are all to busy slobbering on Saban's ball to see. Class is totally lost in college football!

Late in the game (when OBJ made the nice catch and run) Beurlein said he'd "jump out of the booth if that play were anything other than a screen or draw". I certainly wish he was a man of his word.

I forgot all about that. That had to be one of the worst broadcast pairings they could have come up with. Michael Irving and Emmit Smith would have been better, only because all you would here would be noise, you couldn't understand what they are saying.

A friend of mine told me a story about Brando..they were at a wedding where Brando was also and he got up to give a speech. First words out of his mouth for this speech were "Hi, my name is Tim Brando and if you don't know I am, why not"? Stay classy Brando.
