Fact is.. 49ers, like last year were just a bigger and more resilient football team. And it had nothing to do with Vernon Davis going 45 yds down the stretch.

The pick six at the end of the 1st half complete changed the whole complexion of the game.
Hell, we ran on them fairly well all things considered in the 1st half.

That 2nd half they annihilated our offensive line, we didn't hold up well 1v1 and got shoved backwards, regardless of us not understanding or recognizing their blitzes.

Gore did not "tear through our defense". They were more physical than us but it's not like Gore was destroying us

Gore only did anything at the end of the game when we had given up.
For the most part our defense didn't get outphysicaled, we didn't defend TE or RB out the backfield in the passing game. Our OLB's can't cover for shite, and we whiffed on a bunch of tackles. It's not like their offense moved us around.

our O line mailed it in. Brees went from having all day to getting clobbered. ...and it wasnt because they started blitzing. One of the sacks came on a 3 man rush.
