Boise St back in a BCS bowl?

Brad Edwards just tweeted that Boise is #22, and 15-21 all lost. They get an auto bid if they're in the top 16, correct?
ETA: auto because they'll be ranked ahead of Big East champ.

I think Kent St has a much better resume. They beat Rutgers (potential Big East champ) and the MAC was probably the best mid-major this year.

Should be a good game.
Those two coaches will be able to move up pretty soon I think.

lol...no fuking way a 2 loss non BCS team deserves a BCS bid.

But, Kent St is currently 1 spot behind Boise. So, voters will have to jump Kent St over Boise for Kent St to get in.

Wow, I didn't realize they have 2 losses. If they went to a BCS bowl ahead of Kent St or NIU that'd be bad.

Some of those teams won't drop that much considering Oregon State played Oregon, UCLA played Stanford, Michigan played Ohio State and on and on we go.

But Rutgers, Louisville, or even possibly Syracuse does?

Yes, as soon as they get the bid, CP gets on a plane to call the hogs in Fayetteville.

It really would suck to see Boise, a team who lost to Michigan State (?), in a BCS game. I guess just pray that UCLA somehow beats Stanford?

Kent St plays NIU (#25) in their conference championship game. If voters have a brain they'll jump them.

Don't forget Kent State meets NIU for MAC championship. One team will get a win over a ranked team and finish with 1 loss. Could be enough to jump Boise.
Edit: Sprintfun beat me to it

Very good point.

I'd much rather see N.Illinois or Kent State. Another thought -- how pathetic will it be if Wisconsin, a team with 5 losses, makes it to the Rose Bowl??

Kent State deserves it more.
But in all honesty, 3 or 4 other SEC teams deserve it more than any of them, but the terrible rules in place disallow it.

No.
The rule is the automatic qualifier has to be the conference champ of their league.
Boise State did not win the Mountain West.
End thread.

It is amazing how good of a season they had. Take a look at how many starters they lost coming into the season. Phenomenal coaching job once again by Peterson.

Kent State lost to Kentucky by 33 points.
The Kentucky Wildcats. By 33.
