First time in Asheville with the wife. Anyone have any good sports bar recommendations?

I'm not sure, exactly.

But, you should skim through this thread.

There's nothing on Asheville on that thread, Brew. I was going to post that also for a fellow Tiger.

Thanks, bookmarked for future use. No Asheville tigers I suppose.

I did find a house viewing party on the West North Carolina Alumni Facebook page.

Wasn't aware.. I figured they would have had something in the area.. but that thread is always a great resource if you happen to be out of town for a game

Pretty much any decent sized city south of the Mason-Dixon will have an LSU alumni base.. that'd be the first thing I would check if I were ever to move

I have watched a few games at Packs Tavern with the LSU Alumni Association. Good food and beer and lots of TVs. Highly recommend!

Todays game watched at a private residence. Hope this helps.

There is a pool hall south of Asheville called Fat Cats that will have it. Within asheville itself there is Wild Wings (local) and Buffalo Wild Wings (the chain), as well as a Hooters on Tunnel Road. I'm sure there's plenty more, I just don't get out to watch football as Asheviile isn't much of a sports town.

Do yourself a solid and eat at Tupelo Honey. Some of the best diner/comfort food I've had in a long time. Go to the Grove Park Inn as well. Great place to stay and the restaurants/bars are top shelf.

Agreed tupelo honey is the bomb. If you like beer, Asheville pizza company makes a brew called shiva that is the best I've ever had.
