| Most pivotal win under Miles' Tenure (Posted on 11/22/12 at 7:39 am)
I would go with the blowout Miami win after getting taken to the woodshed by UGA in SECCG in 2004 ( I think this was Miles first year) It showed that we could regroup and dominate, and I think it kept the Saban recruiting machine in tact in our state. I know others have been pivotal since, but this one seemed to set the stage. Happy Thanksgiving!

The thorough spanking of perennial ACC king Virginia Tech in 2007.

Florida 2007, maybe his best coaching performance against Tebow and Urban Meyer. That win put us as the front runners for the national championship.

2010 Bama, people finally realized he could beat Saban with his own players. Negatigers have never been the same only emerging when minor crap happens to blow it out of proportion.

Without a doubt, Tennessee, 2010. If T-Bob doesn't snap the ball to a befuddled JJ, CLM might not be here today. He should hire Dooley as well for having 13 people on the field. We've been dominant, pretty much, since that game.

SEC Championship against UT. Team could have easily quit and Miles would have never recovered with what was to come in 08 and 09.

I agree with this. I think a sh!tload of fans would have been ready to run Les out of town had we lost that game. Les should still thank J. Lee for orchestrating that drive that put us in a position to win that game. Left that game with just a sense of relief, no real enjoyment at all.

I am glad he did not lose to Troy in 08. Not saying this is the most important win, but man his career may have spiraled following a lose to them.

This x 1,000. It's like the man has a little good luck charm following him around. He's had his arse saved more times than a cat has lives by the strangest circumstances. Any other coach under similar circumstances would not have things fall that way and would have been fired long ago.

My choice is the 2010 win in Gainesville. I think that was a crossroads game. 2008 and 2009 were IMHO disappointing years and even though we were undefeated going into that Florida game we were coming off the embarrassing Tennessee fiasco. The environment in B.R. was about as negative as it's been in the Miles era. Even some of Miles most staunch Positiger loyalists were abandoning him. It was good to play a road game that week. The bounce went our way and just like that Les had his Mad Hatter persona back and it propelled the program back on the right track. I think a loss that day may have set things on a different course. So for me that was his most pivotal win.

UT 2006 This was where we decided we wanted to be a 10 win team and not an 8 win team.
