3rd Thursday in November passed me by, but my husband brought me some home today! Having a glass now. The first time I had this I was in France during Thanksgiving.
Anyone else look forward to this time of year for the Beaujolais Nouveau.
I was always told if you didn't drink it by the first of March, don't bother. I found a "lost" bottle a couple of years ago and tried it in the summer. Yep it does need to be consumed before spring.
This is a great holiday wine. Even people who don't like reds like it and it can be served chilled.

I really like this year's offering. We've been through 2 bottles already. It's perfect with turkey and dressing on Thanksgiving.

I remember being very disappointed a few years ago, from what I have read this was also a bad year for that region, but have not tasted any yet.

It should be chilled.

I was very disappointed, I think 3 years ago. All around not good. This year's has an amazing aroma.
Haven't tried the California yet, but he DeBoef (sp? too lazy to get up and check the bottle) is really nice. Very pleasant long taste.

Some crazy (and I think drunk) man came into Matherne's looking for a case while Jones and I were shopping in the liquor section. The poor girl behind the service desk said she'd ask because she had no idea what he was talking about. He was jumping around about this wine. I almost think he was on coke.

He ambushed Jones and I, and told us all about where the grape is grown and how the wine is his Thanksgiving wine. He even pulled out a stalk with brussel sprouts on it that he had on him even though he bought it at Albertsons.

Weird dude.

CSB, I know.
