exactly what i was thinking, and it's funny because i literally said last week "there is no way he goes to oak hill next year" and then this shite comes out of the blue and happens. It wasnt like this was something that they had been telling people either, the earliest anyone found out about this was on saturday.

The worst part is it wasn't even about Thon. Thon loved Country Day but the guardian wanted to go elsewhere.

No way the kid is 14 if he was born in Sudan. He's probably much much older.

He just turned 15, and by the look of his face, you wouldnt even think he was that old.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Country day has done so much for the kid and his family there is no shot he would leave the school.

haha. called it.

Haha, well as of last week he was 100% country day, then all of the sudden all of this information comes out and shite starts hitting the fan and I look like an idiot. But honestly, country day couldn't have helped the kid and his family any more than they did.

When I was told thon wasn't coming back, I was shocked.

Yep. You gotta know people are only out for themselves. His best opportunity at making it to the league is not at Country Day. He knew that from the beginning

Which is why I'm surprised he didnt go straight to Oak Hill or some similar school. Never heard of Carlisle school or their basketball program. Then again, this is a big time basketball recruit, so my guess is he will end up at least 3 other programs by the time he's done

What I have been told is that Thons guardian straight up fleeced the people at CD. I had dinner with the parents of a kid who plays for another school. They told me how the people of CD had charity drives for Thons family and lots of people donated money individually to Ed Smith his "guardian". People are mad and upset a few wanting to press fraud charges.

Nobody donated any money to his family. I spoke directly to Thon. Country Day actually cut Thon's guardian salary in half so he quit and went back to running his business out of Australia. If the guardian wss only about basketball why would he transfer Thon to a better academic school than Country Day. Thon also wanted to play faster and did not like all the different rules in Louisiana. Stop with all the hating.
