Strong rumors this afternoon linking Vanderbilt coach James Franklin to the Arkansas job. We're told Gruden is likely out, that Patterson (at least for now) has decided to stay at TCU and that Gundy appears out of reach well.

i just don't see Franklin leaving, IMO... i think Vandy will do what it takes to keep him there. He seems committed to building something at Vandy.

I will not believe a thing any media puts out, jorts, biddy, wally, none of them have a clue on this one.
They are all in it to sell subscriptions. So they have to put out what makes people want to dish out money to see the newest news.

This seems like a Dooley type hire to me. Hire the cheap up and comer. 
At least he'll wear normal pants and isn't a frat boy.

You sure about that? He's got feelers out and he's on his media tour to get his "brand" awareness up.
I think he is likely to stay, but if he gets a call from AU, Arky, UT, (and possibly even Louisville) then he's gone.

Franklin is winning in the SEC at Vandy, is out recruiting our former coaching staff, and out coached petrino his first year at vandy. We get him and i'm happy. He'll be a big name this year or next.
