enough beating around the bush...if your state could peacefully secede...

Would you support it?

Rules:

All "immovable" US govermnent property would have to be paid for at current "market price" over the next 35 years.

No US military equipment stays (National guard stuff does).

US entitled to sliding scale mineral royalties for next 20 years (immediate 50% reduction, w/ 2.5% yearly reduction after that)

All "exports" to US will be treated as any other "foreign" imports into the US.

It depends on the overall condition of the nation. There is a line out there that if crossed would make me a yes, but we're not there yet. I hope we don't get there, but things are not looking good.

You're not going to be able to peacefully secede without this.

U.S. Government spent money to protect those minerals, they're gonna want SOMETHING.

I'm a proponent of smaller, local government, so while this sounds like a terrible idea I can't say flat out "no".

I'll say it depends on the circumstances.

No. Mississippi is 40% black. The conservatives here better stop and think of what that means. Combine that with 15% white Democrat/liberal vote and boom.

No. I believe they have the right to do so, but I would not support it. However, if it were to happen, I would side with my state and try to take a role in guiding my new country.
