That's it, LSU needs to ban the student section from games

Or, instead of kicking out thousands of people, you and your delicate kids could just not go to the game.

I applaud the students for fighting the censorship.
not classy, but the they provoked the students by banning it. The student section has been top notch this season

majority of 30+ wimmins vote for Obama yet they're offended by a few off-color words?

I laughed Saturday when two little girls who couldn't be older than 7 or 8 asked their dad what the students were yelling, he acted like he didn't know

And did i mention it's not funny?
I'm 46, and think it's pretty funny.
While I hope the current class doesn't get "Hey Baby" banned, 'cause I love the band playing that song, I'm not going to rail on 20 year old drunk LSU kids being drunk 20 year old LSU kids. Hell, I was a drunk 20 year old LSU kid once.
Look, in the 60's, they'd fall out of the student section, fight the Ole Miss cheerleaders while trying to steal the Rebel Flag.
In the 70's, they ran across the parade grounds butt arse naked.
In the 80's, they had us fenced off, and anything went pretty much inside that fence.
Is hollering a little profanity any worse than the above?

Have you watched movies lately?
PG-13 bro
If you dont want to hear it then join along in chanting the actual lyrics and get everyone else in your section to sing them too. I guarentee the voices in your section will drown out the students

I don't have a problem with the cursing. I curse like a sailor thanks to our team. The part that I have a problem with is that the student section can figure out the timing to be able to hear this chant around the stadium, yet they can't get the timing right while singing the alma mater or while clapping to the drum beat of pre-game.
Posted on 11/20/12 at 10:15 am to LSUdm21
there weren't enough students in the student section in the early 90's to sing an organized song.

chances are, they don't know the alma-mater. and clapping requires more rhythm than singing.
It ain't just the student section who's missing the mark on pre-game. And I'd say most of the stadium doesn't know the words to the alma-mater.

Whatever happened to making sure your own kids don't run around repeating that just because they heard it? I guess parents gave up on being parents.
ETA: Not you, but I was saying "you" in general.
Agree with the timing on the Alma Mater issue. What the hell is that? It sounds retarded. Are they doing it on purpose or what?

This is true.
Most people's kids are little shits who run around doing what ever the hell they please with no repercussions.
See it in restaurants all the time. Kids scream, throw shite on the ground, just act up, and the parents do nothing.
But heaven forbid they hear a dirty word.

LOL @ the words "dick" and "bitch" being NC-17 rated.
1.) It is a football game. It is violent. You could potentially see somebody DIE. If you are so worried about your children, don't bring them to the game. If PG-13 rated language bothers you so badly, then throw out all your DVD's except for Paul Blart "Mall Cop" and crap like that. Don't turn on your television. Don't listen to that hack Eric Clapton sing about cocaine anymore either. If your child owns an Xbox or anything like that, maybe you should consider tossing that out before being so offended by a 10 second chant at a foot ball game.
2.) Do you really think thousands of drunk horny amped up 20-or-something year old's are going to act "classy"? It's a football game. Not Les Miserables.
3.) LSU football doesn't exist just for you and you alone. Get over yourself.
4.) I'm sure your precious little kiddies have heard people scream the f word after a few plays and what not. That's worse. Are you going to grab a sheriff and suggest that person is banned from all future games because he is infringing on your oh so high moral standards?
It's a college football game played by college athletes. What do you expect.
