If you're talking about The Dust Bowl, probably not. It premiered this week.

This is a really dumb question, but how much more can he bring to the table that hasn't already been said?

Does he approach it like The War where he has people "narrating" like everything is happening right then?

I will watch it regardless and I dig Burn's style. I like the History Channel but they do seem to have a pretty formulaic style to thier epic series.

Yes, he has the same narration style and the same simple music in the background. He just brings a depth to the story that's being told that you rarely see in any other type of historical documentary because he really makes it personal, imo.

I've never been so enthralled by someone that can make still black and white pictures come to life like he can.

Bumped. Just watched both episodes

Wow amazing film as always. Really have a new found respect for that generation and how some refused to leave their home even when people considered it a wasteland. Even in black and white those images spoke volumes

I feel like i could watch a Ken Burns documentary on the hibernation patterns of squirrels and still be very impressed
