Those monkeys scared the hell out of me as a kid.

"I was the only kid in the audience who couldn't understand why Dorothy would want to go home. It was a mystery to me. To that awful black-and-white farm and all those smelly farm animals, with that manic-depressive aunt, when she could live with winged monkeys and magic shoes and gay lions. I didn't get it." -- John Waters

This is probably the answer to the other thread - most played movie on TV all time.

Has been played at least once every year since 1956.

TBS has played it recently 32 times.

CBS has played it at least 31 times.

And that's all it's been played -- whoever owns the rights controls the showings

TNT used to show The American President much more than this in a year

Judy Garland was so beautiful, such a sad end to her life.

well I meant longevity.

Otherwise Shawshank 2000-2008 probably takes the cake on TNT/TBS.

Man, TNT shows LOTR like its Seinfeld reruns.

I would think that a Christmas Story has been played more. 24 hours of a Christmans story on TBS for at least 15 years. That's 12 times in one day.
