Patraeus Testimony (About to hit the Fan)

He just arrived on the HIll

Sources saying, like the other thread, that he will indeed say that they knew immediately that it was a terrorist attack.

Also, that he will provide a copy of the CIA's talking points that they provided to the WH that WERE NOT what Susan Rice provided in the weeks after

Closed door hearings. All we'll get is spin about what he said or didn't say.

I think what he did was pretty disgraceful, but that doesn't change the fact that he is somewhat of an American Hero in his public life.

I believe he will say exactly what "they" tell him to say. Pressure is already on him now with implied threat of investigating him by the FBI and CIA to "see" if he used unauthorized CIA resources for his personal use. He'll have the IRS on his case, too, imho, IF he doesn't do and say exactly what he's been told to do and say. Just my opinion.

Do you guys realize that most, if not all, powerful/rich men get a little on the side? JFK, Clinton, Thomas Jefferson, etc. And those are only some of the ones we know about.

Also, did you guys see his wife? That's a dude.

No reason for disgrace. Infidelity is no reason for disgrace IMO. That is a personal matter that does not affect his ability to be a complete fricking badass General.

Who gives a crap about disgrace...it's about national security. If the other poster can't see that, I can't help him.

Exactly what I've thought all along. This ain't family court we're talkin about here. Petraeus isn't about to sacrifice himself as a martyr when it won't make a difference to do so. This is a hard core outfit that's calling the shots. And right now, they're in office, they have the power, and they are not gonna be brought down by this. Patraeus is expendable and he knows it. Again, just my opinion.

At least he might align himself with the right and obtain some protection by spilling the beans. Toe the line and he is a man without a home. Hard to attract a book deal with "white house talking points".

In case you're wondering if we still live in a "free" country, look at what Petraeus is facing. For those not quite old enough to remember it in its prime, the Soviet Union operated under this same general pattern. In those days, we Americans looked at the plight of their citizens and shook our heads - glad we were free, sad for their enslavement. Well guess what - fast forward from then until 2012 and realize we've lost a lot of freedom ground since then folks. I am starting to realize Ron Paul has been right all along. No wonder he was marginalized. We're on the fast track to becoming a totalitarian, maybe even fascist-type state. How did this happen?

Exactly, Rush said this same thing, Petraus is still going to go tow the line because if he doesn't, then all the dems and media will do is attack his credibility and say "Why should we believe you now?"

Also Rush said that the affair is probably the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the kind of dirt they have on him, so there is just no way that Petreaus can beat the Chicago Style politics here.

Sounds like you just got a ripped butthurt a-hole from Rush and other talk radio.

LINK

quote:

RUSH: If Petraeus goes in there and says anything different than what he said on September 13th, do you know the world of hurt that he's in?

I don't see anything wrong with that statement, no matter who said it.
