When do they release the lineup for Jazz Fest?

Just googled it...last year they announced the artists on December 11th, at least that's when Offbeat reported it. Often some "bigger" names aren't booked/announced til later, and cubes/schedules aren't released til a month or so before (last year March 27th).

the year before that, it wasn't till january, IIRC. it just depends.

Usually you can pickup a few hints by going on pollstar.com and looking at new orleans concert dates

i normally look at some big names on tour and see if they may have skipped a few days late april/early may. that's a pretty good hint, typically. the who are on a tour right now, for instance, and they are skipping the entire area around new orleans. the tour only lasts through feb, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a reason they skipped NOLA.
