| How long did the media know about the Petreus/email/affair scandal? (Posted on 11/13/12 at 9:45 pm)
Is it coincidence that all this is coming to light the week after the election? I'm not trolling. I honestly don't know the time line here. Someone told me today (on the golf course) that this information has been around for awhile. Any truth to that?

According to the Wall Street Journal, the affair was discovered several months ago by FBI agents investigating harassment allegations against Broadwell.
So did the media sit on this story until after the election?

Last Wednesday, WSOC (local media) interviewed Broadwell's next door neighbor about her.

Do you think the media intentionally waited until after the election to go full bore on this story? Because they're on it like white on rice now.

I honestly don't know, but staking out the Broadwell residence the day after polls closed appears suspicious. As several people have noted, the FBI spent more time inside Scott Broadwell's home than they did during their entire investigation inside the Benghazi consulate.

I think some disbarment should be enacted someday for the media holding back info before an election especially if a communist is trying to be president. Lawyers can be disbarred why can't so called journalist? They say they are balanced but isn't that the same as lying?

I doubt the media sat on this one. Sex sells, and this would be a career making story. The media is up in arms now that the govenment apparently denied them access to the story until now. It's ironic that the media was willfully complicit in delaying the Fast and Furious story as well as Benghazi because they knew the stories wouldn't arouse instant unproar. But deny them a sex scandal that they know will sell and they act like a scorned lover. Can't wait to get revenge.

They have known for a while. I saw where some republicans even knew going back months. Personally I am like the sex sells poster previous and think this was just a good time to fill hours after the election on the news stations and papers. The politicians aren't going to criticize holding affair info until after elections. I believe it is some kind of code. When it comes down to it they are all on the same team at some level.

Glenn Beck predicts Petraeus setup, breaks it down afterward Glenn Beck is spot on with his review. He predicted Petraeus as the fall guy on October 26. Really interesting. hope it helps

I don't always agree with Glenn Beck. I don't even watch his show. But you should really take a look at the video before writing off this explanation of the Petraeus scandal

What pisses me off is this is getting more coverage than Obama's coverup of Benghazi.

Which is the intent of the administrations timing of the affairs going public. All the news has been about the affair, and Benghazi disappears quietly into the background. Petreus gets discredited before his testimony in Congress. That is one hell of a neat trick of smoke and mirrors being orchestrated from on high.

There is no doubt in my mind this is the case. As a matter of fact, I remember several threads here a week prior to the election about a major sex scandal about to hit the main stream. Coincidence it wasn't until after the election, I think not!!
