Todd McClure disagrees Patrick Lewis is too short.

Wait, this guy can't be an All American. That's already been given to Barrett Jones.

A&M alone has 3-4 starters from Louisiana

I actually thought it was more than this but I think it's 4

OC - Lewis
DE - Obioha
MLB - Stewart
CB - Everett

And lots of people missed on Obioha. Looks the part and it wasn't like he played in the middle of nowhere so I'm not sure how that happened. Rivals had him as a lowish 3 star and we only had 1 recruit in the last class ranked lower. I also think it's a case of the big recruiting sites underrating LA players

btw, no chance no how Pat Lewis is a 1st round pick. Love the guy for his grit and smarts but he'll go late for the same reasons LSU passed (height)

I would not trade Lonergan for him. Not sure how well he would do at guard for LSU.

He started at guard for us for 2 years and he was a pretty good guard but is a natural center I think.

The only LA guy from the A&M roster that I wish we would have offered is Floyd Raven because we are hurting in the CB department right now with Mathieu off the team. We are hurting at CB and OT.

Raven doesn't even play for us but Deshazor Everett from the same class is our best corner and is the guy that made the pick at the end of the Bama game. I think he'd be the one you want.

I didn't realize he's from LA. LSU has one junior CB in Tharold Simon and the rest are all freshmen. Talent cannot fully replace experience. Both the Jalen's have potential to be all-SEC CB's and get picked early in the NFL draft when their time comes but they still make freshmen mistakes because they are freshmen. I'm not even going to begin talking about the depth at OT behind Alexander(true frosh) and Dworacyk(offensive guard).

We should be taking at least 4-5 olinemen in every recruiting class. You never know how they are going to pan out. It doesn't make since to ever just take 3 in a recruiting class.

this; at least 4. this position is really 5 positions and there is a ton of attrition and a ton of injuries at these positions. plus, skills necessary to be great take awhile to teach and learn and the athlete often has to bulk up a lot.

Why are you so defensive?

It doesn't matter, we have Lonergan.
