No dude. It's funny because not even falcons fans have faith in their own team. When we were 8-0, if they did this poll, i guarantee you LA wouldve been blue.

That's because Saints fans are completely delusional. We are realists. We know we aren't the 72 Dolphins or 07 Patriots. We know we're a good team but not perfect.

If a poll was taken that said "will the falcons win the superbowl" Georgia still wouldn't vote yes.

Saints fans love their team, and have faith in it. Hell we are still rooting for this team right now even after all the bullshite this season.

As soon as we hand you your first lost, the falcons message boards will meltdown, the fanbase will disintegrate like always, and i'll laugh.

ETA: How can being a "realist" sports fan be any fun at all?
Sports is a get away. A distraction from life. Entertainment to provide a break from reality.

Dude we are beating the shite out of teams the 09 season. Some of the idiots on ESPN thought we would go undefeated, so of course the Saints fans thought we had a damn good shot.

Thank you. Just seeing this thread again, and yes this is what I mean. I love when these posters call others idiots when they are in fact the idiots

GTFO with this crap. Fans of any team should have faith in their team. Unless that's just what it feels like to be a fan of a team that consistently chokes every year.

Faith =\= realism

Most falcons fans realize how hard it is to go 16-0 and realize this isn't the type of team that typically goes 16-0. Don't give me the "you're not a real fan because you don't have faith in your team" I have faith that they can go to the Super Bowl and win but I see us slipping up somewhere in the regular season simply because it's the NFL. There are no la Monroe's or Georgia southern's to play. These are professional athletes and anything can happen.

Obviously, they have some sort of chance, simply because they are currently undefeated (should change by Sunday evening).

However, the entire country is correct when they say slim, but I am a green state kinda guy.

Here's to the '72 Dolphins popping bubbly Sunday afternoon.

aka you know your team will buckle at some point

I have faith that they can go to the Super Bowl and win

No you dont. Deep inside of you, you know they have no shot.

I'll say it again:

How can being a "realist" sports fan be any fun at all? Sports is a get away. A distraction from life. Entertainment to provide a break from reality. A way to completely immerse yourself in a fantasy world where you believe your faith and cheering for a team wills them onto victory. You know the next day you have real life and responsibility and all that real world bullshite, but for the 3 hours a week your team is on the field you can say frick reality and lose yourself in the moment.

Being a "realist" sports fan just sounds miserable to me.

Just saying, generally when you see these kind of polls, the home state of the team in question will vote in favor of that team. But whatever, I'm done with this. Didn't mean to butthurt anybody.

Aka 2 teams have finished the season undefeated. We aren't as good as those teams.

Please keep telling me how I feel. This is getting fun.

I just prefer to not live in a world of delusion. Being a Georgia fan will do that to you.

You're arguing with a kid who came up with the username of Breesus. FWIW.

You'd have a better chance of convincing a black transgender of voting for Romney.

No, it's because you know your team can't sweep the Saints in a season..

Saints fan know they can.
