I just started the first season and was wondering what the boards opinion was on this series. Trying to get used to Claire Danes as a spy. Oh and Morena Baccarin is foin.

I'm 2/3 through season 1. Danes sucks at this role so far. Show is pretty good regardless. I'm excited to see how this season ends

It's obvious to everyone (characters and audience) that she's a better analyst-type than undercover-type... but she has a knack for getting people to trust her.

I don't think she's bad at all, it's just weird seeing her in a role that typically goes to strong willed, active women. I like her character I think because she's obviously a crazy person and I feel bad for her cause she seems really dedicated to fighting terrorists. . She just still looks so young. I like the dynamic between her and Saul, and I always thought Damien Lewis looked a little crazy. I don't think it's coincidence he played a widely revered soldier in BoB, and they picked him for this role.

Her character is retardidly not believable as a CIA agent. A lot of the scenes don't make sense, and the dialogue is lacking.
Oddly, I still really like the show
ETA: I am watching an episode now and in 1 scene she is brilliant and in the next her acting is terrible. I think the director sucks

You need to complete the season. She gets better and better. There is a reason she did just win an emmy for it.

ETA: yeah, now her crazy acting makes sense. I just don't believe that Saul couldn't tell she was fricked up in the head. And the CIA wouldn't have looked into her college medical records before hiring her? Yeah right. I still think they need a new director or at least an ex-CIA consultant because some of that shite is laughably not realistic at all. Her behavior while "under cover" and waiting for Walker to meet the Saudi dude was completely not the way an agent would act.
