Kentucky Deer Hunting

I am a crop insurance adjuster and just got word this morning that I have to head to Lexington, KY for the first two weeks of December. So my question is, does anyone know of any good public land to hunt around that area of Ky? I wont have a whole lot of time but if I have a couple afternoons I will have my bow with me and I am sure I will be wanting to be in the woods.
Also I can take my rifle in case I may be able to hunt using it.

Im pretty sure gun season will be closed in December.

The Daniel Boone National Forest is on your way in SE KY. Look up their regs. I went on a classic car cruise through there a few years ago and saw an abundance of deer and turkey.
