| To the Dems on here predicting the end of the Republican Party..... (Posted on 11/7/12 at 10:05 pm)
Please remember you were in this same boat just 8 short years ago. Remember 2004? An incumbent Republican president whom you loathed. He was an idiot, (despite having an MBA from Harvard), a dullard, liar, criminal, warmonger (any of this sound fimiliar?) There was no way in hell he could win the election in 2004 after all the treasonous things he had done? No way would the people who helped put him in office in 2000 vote for him again! (Sound fimiliar?) Sooo, y'all go through your Dem primaries and decide on a winner. Old Horseface! A male gold-digger limousine liberal from Mass. Well, we all know how that turned out. Remember how you felt after Bush won a second term? Remember all us Republicans predicting the end of the Dem party? All it takes is one good candidate. One who can energize the base, attract a majority of Indys, and pick off a few from the "other side". Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, ect can do this. The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Christie may have won the battle but lost the war. Rubio looks good though.

Well it would also help if Republicans relentlessly attack and thwart Obama at every opportunity for the next four years the way Democrats did with Bush.

I was actually thinking today that this election was pretty similar to 2004 Incumbent president with pretty poor ratings and a flip flopping dip shite to run against him Pretty sure that describes both the 2004 and 2012 presidential elections

I've always felt that this was how this election was going to play out. In 2004 liberals were so sure that there was no way Bush would get re-elected after his first term he had. Conservatives felt the same about Obama this time around. I guess now they know how it feels.

In 2008 at lot of people thought the GOP was really gonna take a while to bounce back. I didn't think so, and obviously they didn't. The demographics keep getting worse, and with Obama pulling several red states for the second time in a row with his record, it looks more ominous this time around.

The GOP isn't dead, but it's going to have to learn the right lessons from this debacle if it wants to be relevant any time soon. Judging from the talking heads on Fox and talk radio today, they haven't learned them yet. If they don't, it may take insurgents throwing out the current leadership and taking the party in a new direction.

I'm not worried. We'll nominate Rubio, with his smooth arse Rico Suave, get all up on the TV and speak fluent Mexican like he does, and them damn spicks will be voting Republican like its a hot burrito! Might name a black woman as his running mate, then y'all are really fricked!
