Looking for some sort of sale going on. Last I ordered was from Sportsmans Guide. 10 boxes of Independence 50 round box for $11 each with free shipping. Looking for something similar.

You can get 9mm FMJ at Academy for 9 and change a box.

I guess I should add - 'Not named Monarch'
the range I go to doesn't allow Monarch ammo. That is the only one under $11 at Academy

Why don't they allow monarch?

They said it had to do with too many misfires or jams

Probably blazer since its aluminum case or whatever it is.

It may be Blazer. The ones I have are metal case. Have shot hundreds and never misfired.

There may be a difference between the monarch brass and steel primers. I know that most steel-cased ammo has harder primers. That may be the reasons for the misfires.
As far as monarch brass, they are some if my favorite cases to hand load. Very high quality and durable.

I wonder why the range would care about jams and misfires?

I really hate to go to Wal-Mart as I come home frustrated after every trip....Nevertheless, I've tired of trying to find the best buy out there everytime I'm in need of range ammo. Barring some sort of rarely occurring special sale that requires one to buy a gazillion rounds, I don't recall the last time I was able to beat WM prices, especially for brass cased, decent quality ammo. Winchester white box is usually bout $22/100 while Federal red box is bout $20/100. I don't have enough spare time in my life anymore for ammo shopping. I just buy a box from WM every now and then. Plus, it doesn't seem nearly as painful on the pocket book to buy only 100 at a time. :-(
