It was weak but not the worst ever.

I wouldn't blame the center ref, either. He wasn't giving it. Linesman (or referee watching the goal) gave it according to the announcers (out of frame). Blame him

I love it how United has never been awarded a clear penalty. Ever.

I know we dive, I know we get calls from time to time that could be debated...but that was a penalty. Jeez.

I'm not blaming the ref. The 4th official got it wrong.

Defender clearly won the challenge. He got to the ball first, and got nothing but the ball. His body impeded Rooney's progress after the fact that the ball was already cleared. That isn't a penalty.

Moot point though with the 3rd goal.

Couldn't have said it better myself atl, I understand why you're automatically in defensive mode war, since a lot of your teams penalties are controversial and all, but Rooney got to the ball about a full second after the defender had kicked it.

Every single penalty we get is called a bad call, no matter how it looks. This one was a real penalty.

This is true.

That's fine. I thought that you were talking about the center referee wrt the, "10 second" comment.

I'll have to watch it again. I thought that it was close. I was hoping that the post game show would replay it in slow motion.

I don't know if they score that without Braga being stretched while going forward. Of course, I know for sure that they wouldn't score that again with Hernandez taking 12 touches after beating the goalkeeper.

This review show is awful, they've only shown maybe.. 5 of the twenty something goals that were scored today.

This is the only one I could find, and it sucks. Still don't think it's a dive.

Didn't he kick one off his face once? It may have been against Chelsea.
