Are they worth more than retail price in your estimation? Do you feel any liquor is worth more than it's current retail price?

I was at Port Royal ordering a Basil Haydens when "Doc" struck up a conversation about whiskey with me. He ordered us a shot of the 20 year with one ice cube.

I dont know that I would pay $25/shot for it... but Damn.. it was good. I could enjoy a lesser whiskey for $6/shot... but for a special occasion or an important client. DO IT. you wont be disappointed if you are a whiskey lover.

Worth more than $90 and $130ish per bottle? Yeah, probably so. I've had a similarly priced Elijah Craig 20 year and the Pappy is much better. I may have drank the last of Cure's 20 year Pappy this weekend.

The trick is finding a bottle to buy. I'm on 4 waiting lists in 2 states.

Pro tip: Don't EVER try the 23. You'll be spoiled for lesser whiskeys. At $250+/bottle that's an expensive habit.
