How do yall feel about our chances against the Russians?

I'm not too confident. Krasnador sounds like a brutal place.

Not sure yet, will feel better(or worse) after getting an idea of who we will call up for the game.

I feel that we are not at their level and will lose, possibly by 3. #electiondaypessimism

Hope he calls up some new midfielders as well as Boyd and Jozy. Would like to see Chandler in the squad.

I think John Anthony Brooks from Hertha Berlin gets called up to see his skill at centerback relative to Cameron.

Gooch probably gets called in again just because he's in Europe. Bocanegra can't keep getting the automatic start because he's the captain. He's way too slow for international play right now, unless his recent match fitness has improved since getting games for Racing Santander.

Josh Gatt might get another look if Zusi and SKC are still in the MLS playoffs. If SKC eliminates Houston this week, I think there's a serious chance Will Bruin of the Dynamo finally gets called up.

Will Bruin just looks soooo slow on the field.

Will Bruin, Alan Gordon, Wondo, Ching, Casey, Cooper...

What's the difference?

He's slow, but he's a good finisher who gets himself in good goalscoring positions. He's probably not a good option for a World Cup roster, but he's certainly better than a Conor Casey.

If Jurgen is really adamant about giving playing time for players on form, Bruin deserves it after his play in the last part of the MLS season and into the playoffs. Of course, Klinsmann's bullshite meter went off when he failed to call up Jozy and Wondo last round of qualifiers; two strikers on the best form of perhaps any forward in our national team pool's history.

He's young. It will be interesting to see how he develops. I like what I see so far. Like thenry said, he finishes well.

That he wants players on form in general doesn't mean he shouldn't make exceptions in particular circumstances. That seems obvious to me.

His call-ups obviously worked.

He's made 9 career professional appearances

We barely scraped by a horrendous Antigua and Barbuda team thanks to MLS players in Grown arse Man, Graham Zusi, and Alan Gordon. Then we conceded a cheap early goal to a pretty bad Guatemala side. The results were there, but style counts given Klinsmann's propensity to spew out hyperbolic statements of attacking intent.

Terrence Boyd hadn't made any professional appearances when he was called up in February.

(Boyd told me that John Brooks was just a beast at centerback with the youth team.)

If reports are true, that Timothy Chandler will rejoin the #usmnt, you wonder if there is an agreement he must accept future WCQ callups

Makes sense, especially with Lichaj seemingly floundering a bit in England.

Chandler Cameron ?? Johnson could be a great backline in 2014 if they all continue to improve and assuming Dolo is not still at his current form then.

Gonzo, George John or Goodson are most likely at this point.
